ICRS announces Certified Course on
High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS) Software
HFSS software is the industry-standard simulation tool for 3-D full-wave electromagnetic field simulation and is essential for the design of high-frequency and high-speed component design. HFSS offers multiple state-of the-art solver technologies based on either the proven finite element method or the well established integral equation method. You can select the appropriate solver for the type of simulation you are performing.
Engineers rely on the accuracy, capacity, and performance of HFSS to design high-frequency components such as antennas, RF/microwave components. With HFSS, engineers can extract scattering matrix parameters (S,Y, Z parameters), visualize 3-D electromagnetic fields (near- and far-field).
Each HFSS solver is based on a powerful, automated solution process where you are only required to specify geometry, material properties and the desired output. From there HFSS will automatically generate an appropriate, efficient and accurate mesh for solving the problem using the selected solution technology. Present interest in the area of antenna designing have led many researchers to find new and promising applications of antennas in the field of Radar applications, Electronic Warfare , UAV and many more.
Minimum Eligibility: Graduate in Engineering/Science.

Two Weeks Certified Course on HFSS
Course Covers:
    First Week Basic HFSS Training
  • HFSS Basics
  • Simulation of Waveguide Components (Magic TEE, E-Plane TEE, H-Plane TEE)
  • Simulation of Horn Antennas ( E Plane, H Plane, Pyramidal, Conical)
  • Simulation of Dipole Antennas (Half Wave Dipole, UHF Probe, Yagiudda )
  • Simulation of Helical Antenna
  • Simulation of Microstrip Antenna (Coaxial Fed, Microstrip line Fed, Slot Coupled)
  • Simulation of Microstrip Array
  • Simulation of Filters, Hybrid Ring, Ferrite Circulator
  • Simulation of Microstrip Array
  • Second Week Basic HFSS Training
  • Simulation of Application oriented design
  • Hardware Testing (Radiation Pattern, Gain, Directivity, Reflection Coefficient and VSWR)
  • Research Paper Writing
Four Weeks Hardware oriented HFSS Training
Course Covers:
  • First week of Training Programme Covers :-
    • Lectures on Microwave Theory, Components and Applications.
    • Software basic Knowledge with examples such as-

  • Second week of training program covers Project / Assignment on software :-
    • Assignment Related Training aims to equip participants with the knowledge, skills and attitude they require to contribute to such a field language project and our hope is that by the end of the course, participants will have accomplished some work in all target areas and have developed the confidence to embark competently on the adventure of field work.
    • One of the following tentative task will be assigned to candidates -
      • Single or Dual Polarized horn antenna in any frequency band between 1-40 GHz.
      • Single or Dual Polarized patch antenna.
      • Spiral / Helix / Log periodic antenna.
      • Patch Array Antenna
    • Different types of Antennas (Dipole, Horn, Patch, etc.)
  • Developed Antennas will be Fabricated and Tested at ICRS Laboratory.
